Our production team recently completed an internal formwork installation test for a large-scale plate girder assembly at our manufacturing facility. The test focused on verifying the fit, adjustment mechanism and structural stability of the internal support system before the formwork units are delivered for field use. Using overhead crane hoisting equipment, the girder section was positioned and inspected under controlled workshop conditions to simulate actual installation scenarios.
This trial forms part of our standardized pre-delivery verification process, which is applied to all custom steel formwork products prior to shipment, ensuring that each unit meets dimensional accuracy and mechanical performance requirements.
The test evaluated whether the internal bracing components, adjustable struts and connecting joints align precisely within the girder cavity, confirming that the fabricated steel sections meet the required tolerances for on-site assembly.
Engineers checked the operation of the adjustable support arms and locking bolts, which allow the internal formwork to expand and contract for different girder widths, a key feature for adapting to varied project specifications.
The support structure was tested for stability under simulated working conditions, ensuring the formwork can withstand the pressures exerted during concrete pouring operations.
| Test Item | Description | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Structural Alignment | Fit of internal struts within girder cavity | Passed |
| Adjustment Mechanism | Locking bolt and strut expansion function | Passed |
| Weld Seam Inspection | Visual and surface quality check | Passed |
| Dimensional Accuracy | Comparison against design drawings | Passed |
Table 1: Summary of internal formwork installation test results (internal test records)
All formwork components used in this test were produced under our full-process quality control system, which is certified to ISO 9001, BS1139 and EN74 international standards. Steel plates are processed using advanced laser cutting equipment, and welding is carried out following certified AWS and EN welding procedures to ensure consistent joint strength and surface finish.
Our engineering team also holds 12 utility patents covering formwork structural design and adjustment mechanisms, which supports continuous improvement in product precision and ease of on-site installation.
As a strategic supplier to major state-owned engineering enterprises, our steel formwork solutions have supported the construction of landmark infrastructure, including the Sutong Yangtze River Bridge, Taizhou Bridge and the Sudan Thermal Power Plant. Each of these projects required strict adherence to mega-project manufacturing standards, and the internal formwork installation test reflects the same level of rigor applied to our ongoing production.
Moving forward, we will continue to refine our internal formwork testing procedures to further improve installation efficiency and structural reliability for plate girder and other bridge formwork applications. By combining automated processing with rigorous quality verification, we aim to deliver precise, safe and cost-effective steel solutions that support long-term engineering performance for our global partners.
